P!nk: Child with Down Syndrome is expelled from show; understand

Vanessa Vasey and her son, Jesse, had to leave the stadium after the child danced standing up

A seven-year-old boy with Down Syndrome was kicked out of a concert P!nk in London last week. The presentation took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the singer performed Summer Carnival World Tour.

Vanessa Vasey took the son, Jesseand the friend, Kirsty, to the show. She stated that she paid 630 euros for tickets to access a lounge, where Jesse you could move to the restaurant area and avoid sitting for a long time.

Second Vasey, your child also has a sensory disorder. After refusing to move to a soundproof room, she and Jesse they were expelled by security guards. The guards asked the child, who was dancing standing up, to sit down or for the family to leave the show.

Report

“We couldn’t wait, as it would be a very special moment for us to experience together. On the day, I didn’t take his stroller because the ticket said there was no storage space,” he said. Vasey in an interview with DailyMail.

“But when we went to sit down in our seats, Jesse did not want to. And in the lounge area, the blinds were down. So we stood near our seats and Jesse I was dancing.”

“We weren’t causing any problems — Jesse It’s less than a meter tall and was entertaining people. Then six security guards showed up saying we needed to leave. When I explained about the shortcomings of Jessethey said there was nothing they could do — we either sat down or left.”

The mother added: “We were intimidated, and when we decided to leave, there were 10 people around us — including security guards, people in suits, other staff, and they literally escorted us out of the building like criminals… Everything Jesse What I have now are memories of me crying, upset and angry, all the bullying, and people being nasty to us. I think that P!nk I would be disgusted if I knew.”

I wish site staff had more knowledge and understanding to support everyone equally so they can be helpful regardless of their needs.
