Gentleman Paul McCartney confirmed the 7th arrival in Sao Paulo this Monday, the 24th, as part of the new leg of the tour Got back, passed through Brazil at the end of last year. Now, the eternal Beatle returns Allianz Parkon October 15 (with the possibility of an extra date), and adds Florianópolis, on October 19, to the show schedule.
In total, the 82-year-old artist has performed 37 shows in the country since he first set foot here in 1990, in the iconic exhibition that brought more than 180,000 people to the Maracanã.
In Sao Paulo, his debut was in 1993, at the Pacaembu stadium. He has since performed in 2010, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2023 – for a total of 11 concerts in the capital – and now returns in 2024. Remember the visits:
Around the World (1993)
Paul’s first performance on São Paulo soil was in December 1993, at Pacaembu. On that occasion he led the tour The New Around the World and promoted the album Off the groundpublished that same year.
Emerging Tour (2010)
More than 15 years passed before Paul returned to the country in November 2010. The tour Soon passed through Sao Paulo with two shows at Morumbi.
Out there! Tour (2014)
Paul was the first artist to perform at Allianz Parque, which opened in 2014 with two touring shows Out there!who promoted the album Newpublished a year earlier.
One on One Tour (2017)
The tour One by one crossed Brazil in October 2017 and Allianz Parque once again hosted a performance by the composer of Yesterday AND Hey Jude.
Refreshment Tour (2019)
Paul made two new performances at Allianz Parque in March 2019 during the tour Freshen up, in promoting the album Egypt Station, released a year earlier. The album included the track Back to Brazilcomposed especially for Brazilian fans.
Returned Tour (2023)
For the first time, Paul performed for three nights in the capital of São Paulo. The success of the tour Got back It was huge and the artist decided to return in 2024, less than a year after last year’s shows, marked by the virtual duet between Paul and John Lennon in the song I got a feeling.
