One of the moments of greatest celebration for Brazilian rock fans in 2024 was the entry of the drummer Eloy Casagrande at the Slipknotan iconic American metal band. Now, the vocalist and frontman, Corey Taylorrevealed what motivated the group to hire the 33-year-old artist.

We were looking at a bunch of other people and none of them wanted to play with us,” he said. “They just wanted to record their own stuff and send it out – a very TikTokhe knows?”
“And we were like, ‘That’s not how it works, man.’ Eloy rearranged his schedule to see us. He was so eager to play and see what would happen that we were immediately impressed by that alone,” he continued. Taylor. “He didn’t get the job straight away – getting to know him was as important as playing with him – but when we made that decision, we thought, ‘Let’s tell the world now. He’s earned it.’
Our audience is so used to us keeping our cards close to our chest, but for me it was more refreshing to just say, ‘Yeah, he’s our guy.’
Eloy Casagrande has already debuted on stage with Slipknot and has already revealed how the band is working on new songs with the current lineup. The group’s first show in Brazil is scheduled for the festival Slipknotscheduled for October 19th and 20th, in São Paulo.
