The lead singer of the band HeartAnn Wilson, has postponed a North American tour after revealing a cure for cancer this Thursday, April 4. According to Wilson, surgery to remove a malignant tumor was successful, but the performances were canceled due to medical recommendations.
“I feel great, but my doctors have advised me to undergo preventative chemotherapy,” the 74-year-old artist announced in a statement on social media.
The band had already postponed a European tour in May, citing “urgent procedure.” Heart had more than 50 shows scheduled across the U.S. and Canada. “I plan to be back in 2025,” Wilson promised fans.
Formed in Vancouver, Canada in the 1970s, Heart have released hits such as Barracuda, Crazy about you AND Alonewhich has a Portuguese version performed by the group Calcinha Preta. Wilson leads the band with his sister and guitarist Nancy Wilson.
