Recorded by Elza Soares, Caio Prado performs for free in São Paulo. The singer and composer from Rio debuts his new show I fall into youthe result of his third album, of the same name, produced by the hitmaker Umberto Tavares (author of the hits of Ludmilla, Anitta, among others). He is accompanied by the quartet of musicians formed by Elisio Freitas (guitar, who is also the musical director of the show), Rodrigo Ferreira (bass), Jean Michell (drums) and Janeh Magalhães (backing vocals). His songs address topics that are new to Caio’s discography, such as sex and football – without leaving aside the poetic vein to talk about love and social issues. The album presents a sound that reflects the diversity that Caio carries within himself: it has ijexá with afrobeat, soul with funk and even elements of rock ‘n roll and pagode. The band is composed of a guitar with electronic programming, a drum kit with percussion programming and a bass that follows the surprising line of the album. In addition, the acoustic guitars bring the musicality of pagode and samba, while an accompanying voice completes the sound body with its engaging harmonies. I fall into youtherefore, adds new layers to the appreciated songbook of the singer-songwriter from Realengo. In this presentation Caio will have the participation of the singer Doralyce, who will repeat live the song she sings with him in the album “Tudo de Bom”.
The show, which has the artistic direction of Pedro Loureiro (Elza Soares’s last manager and artistic director), permeates all the nuances contained in the artistic personality of Caio Prado. The focus of the presentation are the songs of the album, including “Vai Rezando”, “Sem Demandas” and “Epahey Oyá”, which were released in a music video (available on YouTube). There is also the politician Caio, who composed the anthem “Não Recomendado” (recorded by Elza Soares in the album Planeta Fome) and the strong “Não sou teu Negro” (performed by Alcione in the Globo TV program “Falas Negras”), poetic Caio, who enchanted the audience with his melodies and sophisticated lyrics. “Baobá”, a song that was part of the soundtrack of the video game FIFA22 (one of the biggest in the segment), is a clear example of this mix. There is also the suburban Caio, forged under the blessing of the pagode and the samba, who brings to the stage revisitations of classics such as “Malandro”, by Jorge Aragão and immortalized by Elza Soares, an artist who “loved” Caio in his last years of life.
