Last Sunday (21), the YG Entertainment announced that 2NE1 will officially reunite to celebrate the group’s 15th anniversary. The social media post was shared with the message, “Welcome back“. The four members appear on the poster.

According to Billboard, Yang Hyun Suk revealed in a video that the popular K-pop girl group will be holding a series of concerts to celebrate their 15th anniversary. He explained that 2NE1’s tour will kick off in Seoul, South Korea in October before heading to Osaka, Japan in November and Tokyo in December. He revealed that the tour will continue through 2025, with more locations yet to be revealed.

It is worth mentioning that they gained popularity with their debut single Fire in 2009 and became known worldwide with the song I’m the best. 2NE1 is made up of Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy and has become one of the most iconic girl groups in K-pop.

The group disbanded in 2016 after a year-long hiatus and the departure of Minzy. Their most recent single was 2017’s Goodbye. In 2022, CL reunited the group at Coachella, marking the first time they had performed on stage together since 2015.

Also according to Billboard, it is worth noting that throughout his career, the 2NE1 has had 19 hits on the World Digital Songs chart, three albums have appeared in the top 10 of the World Albums chart, and one album has appeared on the Billboard 200 chart.
