Group prepares for tour and returns to the studio with full lineup for the first time since 1990
The rock band from the United States Jane’s Addiction released this Wednesday (24) the single “Imminent Redemption”. This is the group’s first song with the original members in 34 years. Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins It is Eric Avery they hadn’t recorded together since the album Ritual of the Habitualreleased in 1990.
The return to the studio also marks a return to the stage. In May of this year, the band announced the first tour with the classic lineup since 2010. In the press release, the members also said that “Imminent Redemption” is just the beginning:
It’s different this time. Having everyone back, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction.”

The band’s last album was The Great Escape Artistfrom 2011, but bassist Eric Avery had left the group a year earlier. He returned in 2022. However, the band continued not to perform on stage with the original lineup on tours due to health problems of guitarist Dave Navarro.
Jane’s Addiction and Lollapalooza
In 1991, the band’s lead singer, Perry Farrell, created the music festival Lollapalooza as a farewell show for Jane’s Addiction. More than 30 years later, the group performed at the Brazilian edition of the festival in 2023.
We have injected new life into the live music experience (…) Now more than three decades into my career, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give people an inside look at the festival and music history,” Farrell told Rolling Stone USA in season.
Since then, Lollapalooza has expanded into an annual event with roots in Chicago, and international editions including Berlin, Paris, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Stockholm and São Paulo.
