Tensions between musicians escalate with frank statements
Nasi, singer of Ira!, and Roger Moreira, of Ultraje a Rigor, ended up in the most talked about topics of X this Saturday (3/8).
The controversy began on the Futeboteco podcast, where Nasi criticized musicians of his generation who support the far right. “These idiots, these ‘servants,’ they say: ‘Go make a record. You haven’t done anything else in a long time.’ Hello? Look at my tour schedule! I try not to talk about other people,” he said.
Reference to an ancient conflict
Without naming names, Nasi cited an old argument between Ira! guitarist Edgard Scandurra and a “minion.” “I try not to talk about other people, because the other day one of them had a story with Edgard. There was a controversy. I won’t name names. It all ended in a conversation, really.”
Fans have connected the dots. In 2020, Scandurra criticized Roger in an interview, saying he didn’t understand how a rock artist could support politicians who advocate torture or prejudice. Roger responded on X, formerly Twitter, calling Scandurra an “asshole,” “an idiot,” and someone who “has always died of envy.”
Threats Nasi
Nasi said that if it had been him, the situation would have ended differently. “With me… I try not to talk, you know why? Because I break my face. Yes. You [olha para a câmera] he knows. He got blocked on Instagram because he did something funny that I didn’t like. Don’t mess with me, because Edgar is polite, I’m not.”
Ruggero’s reaction
When the speech went viral, Roger shared Nasi’s statement on X, adding, “How pathetic.”
He also said that the reproach should not be with him, since he is not blocked on the singer Ira’s Instagram! “Nasi knows where I live, we have known each other for 43 years, his brother was my manager,” he concluded.

Nasi, da Ira!, represents a possible threat to Roger Moreira, from Ultraje to Rigor. // Said the reader. This is our press, which replicates Paulo Nojeira and his Diário do Ass do Mundo. Nasi knows where I live, we met 43 years ago, his brother was my manager. https://t.co/Y5Naf22VXY
