The song “Pedrin” is part of the artist’s new album, which will follow the narration of the success released in 2023
On Thursday night (8/8), DJ Pedro Sampaio released the music video “Pedrin”, a sort of sequel to the hit “POCPOC” (2023). The new song will be available on his new album, which is scheduled for release in September, before his show at Rock in Rio.
According to the artist, the new lyrics bring “the extension of the narrative” that began to be sung on the previous hit and will continue throughout the new album, which is still in production. “Wait for me,” Sampaio joked, in a statement.
The video for “Pedrin” was accompanied by a lot of choreography and vibrant beats, while the song was produced in collaboration with DJ Topo. The composition also features a classic funk sample from MC Delano. “In my musical productions, I feel that samples always add and enrich the listener’s experience,” Sampaio explained.
“And that’s what I wanted to convey by bringing the song from ‘Devagarinho’ by Delano into the chorus and it was incredible. He’s a great production partner and I’m a fan of his work, I even brought him in my trio in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Carnival this year, and I know how much he means to the national funk”, added the DJ.
