Sid Wilson suffered serious injuries to his face, arms and lips while working on the farm where he lives with Kelly Osbourne
Sid Wilson, DJ of heavy metal band Slipknot, was hospitalized on Friday (23/8) after suffering severe burns from an explosion on his farm, where he lives with his girlfriend, Kelly Osbourne. The injuries mainly affected the artist’s face, cheeks, arms and lips.
“My face is burned, as are my cheeks. I had an explosion, but I’ll be fine. I’m getting x-rays to make sure I didn’t breathe in any flames,” Sid explained in a video posted to his website. Instagram, he reassures fans.
Accident details
According to the daughter of singer Ozzy Osbourne, the accident occurred while her boyfriend was working with “burn piles,” which consist of collecting forest debris to burn to prevent natural fires. “That’s why you don’t joke about ‘burn piles.’ He literally set himself on fire and blew everything up,” the presenter commented.
Good mood in the face of the situation
Despite the severity of his injuries, Sid Wilson did not lose his good humor and jokingly showed off his burns, saying: “My lips are pretty messed up, it’s cheap Botox.”
Hospital follow-up
Kelly Osbourne and the couple’s 2-year-old son, Sidney, are accompanying the DJ to the hospital, where he remains hospitalized for observation and treatment.
