The next Brazilian edition of the festival will take place on March 28, 29 and 30, 2025
THE Lollapalooza Brazil announced this Tuesday, 3, a line-up with names like Olivia Rodrigo, Alanis Morissette, Shawn Mendes and Justin Timberlake. Other artists, who received less attention, however, deserve the public’s attention — and show that not all is lost for festival fans who were disappointed and didn’t like the headliners.

Michael Kiwanuka
Fans of Big Little Lies may be familiar with a hit from Michael Kiwanuka. The track “Cold Little Heart”, from the album Love & Hate (2016) complements the landscapes of Monterey, California, during the opening of the series starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz and Laura Dern.
The musician from England also partnered with Tom Misch in the song “Money” and opened shows for Adele in 2011. He released his latest album, KIWANUKAin 2019, but has released singles, the most recent being “Floating Parade”.
Parcels
THE Parcels will land in Brazil for the first time in 2025. The band gained notoriety in 2017, when it released “Overnight”, a track co-composed and co-produced by Daft Punk. Although its members are Australian, the Parcels signs with the French record label Kitsuné.
The group formed by Anatole “Toto” Serret, Jules Crommelin, Louie Swain, Noah Hill and Patrick Hetherington adopted a look reminiscent of the Beatles. His sound, however, is “a bit of a mix of electro-pop and disco-soul music” (via Vogue).
The Marias
The Marias has only one Maria — Puerto Rican-born singer. She fronts the American indie-pop band nominated for Grammy for Best Sound Engineering in a Non-Classical Album, in 2022. The award went to none other than Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga.
The group’s first album, also formed by Josh Conway, Jesse Perlman and Edward Jameswas released in 2021. CINEMA caused The Marias entered the charts and paved the way for partnerships with Bad Bunny and Cuckoo in “Otro Atardecer” and “Si Me Voy”, respectively.
The band will visit Brazil for the first time with the tour of the recently released Submarine.
Inhaler
Inhaler is an Irish band formed by Elijah Hewson, Robert Keating, Josh Jenkinson and Ryan McMahon. Do you know who else came from Ireland? U2! Although several artists represent good results of the country — such as The Cranberries and Soda Blonde — the relationship of the group of Bono with the Inhaler is deeper.
Elijah Hewson is the son of Bono. The younger band has two studio albums — It Won’t Always Be Like This (2021) and Cuts & Bruises (2023) —, with songs like “My Honest Face” and “These Are The Days”, and has opened shows for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
Fontaines DC
You Fontaines DCalso directly from Ireland, have just released their new album, Romance. They sought inspiration from European poets and even from the classic Francis Ford CoppolaThe Godfather (1972).
The group’s name references the character Johnny Fontane, while the suffix DC stands for “Dublin City” (via Stereogum). You Fontaines DC were nominated to the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2021, with A Hero’s Death (2020).
Girl in Red
With a resume full of romantic lyrics, the Norwegian Marie Ulven Ringheimbetter known as Girl in Redrose to fame after releasing “I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend” on Soundcloud in 2016.
The singer’s first studio album, If I Could Make It Go Quietarrived only in 2021 — with tracks like “Serotonin” and “midnight love”. Some hits, like “we fell in love in october”, were left out of the album.
This year, it was the album’s turn I’m Doing It Again Baby! enter streaming platforms, including a track in partnership with Sabrina Carpenter. The queer artist also participated in the A24 album that was part of the promotion for the re-release of Stop Making Sensewith a cover of “Girlfriend Is Better”.
Foster The People
As promised by Mark Foster in an interview with Rolling Stone Brazilthe Foster The People will return to Brazil in 2025 — the first show in the country since 2018. The band, which needs no introduction, released Paradise State of Mind in the last month and must repeat the formula used in the other passages through Lollapalooza Brazilin 2012 and 2015, when it showed that it goes beyond “Pumped Up Kicks”
