RMof BTS, will be the focus of a new documentary titled RM: Right People, Wrong Placewhich explores the creative process behind his second solo album. Directed by Lee Seokjun, known for his work on music videos J-HopeThe film will take fans on a journey through Seoul, Tokyo and London, highlighting the places where RM captured the visual inspirations for the album.
The documentary will be released at the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which runs from October 2 to 11, becoming the first film centered on a K-pop artist to be selected for the festival’s “Open Cinema” section.
The production, directed by the agency HYBE and distributed by CJ 4DPLEX, offers an in-depth look at the introspection and growth of RMboth as leaders of the BTS how much as Kim Namjoonhis name.
Right People, Wrong Place not only explores the artistic identity of RMbut also follows the eight months leading up to his military enlistment in November 2023, following the release of his debut solo album, Indigoin December 2022.
The documentary also details the recording sessions for his second album, Right place, wrong personreleased in June 2024. This album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart and number five on the Billboard 200, with six songs debuting in the top 10 on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart.
