The band Hurtmold will be performing next Sunday, the 22nd, at CityLights, as part of the group’s 25th anniversary celebration. The house opens at 5:00 PM and the show starts at 7:00 PM.
Formed in 1998 by friends Maurício Takara, Guilherme Granado, Marcos Gerez, Mário Cappi and Fernando Cappi, and with Rogério Martins since 2003, Hurtmold has established itself as one of the leading names in alternative and instrumental music in Brazil.
The band, which has shared the stage with musicians such as the North American Rob Mazurek, the Brazilian Paulo Santos (Uakti), the Swiss Thomas Rohrer, among others; accompanied the musician Marcelo Camelo (Los Hermanos) as a backing band for his solo work, in recordings and shows throughout the country and Portugal, between 2008 and 2010.
In addition to the songs from the album “Mestro” (2004), which turns 20 in 2024, the band includes songs from the albums “Et Cetera” (2000), “Cozido” (2002), “Hurtmold” (2008). and “Mils Children” (2012). In this show, the band features Richard Ribeiro on drums.
