The composition in honor of the orixá Logun-Edé wins the competition and will be the theme of the school parade at the Sambadrome
Anitta had her samba composition chosen by Unidos da Tijuca for Carnival 2025. The selection took place in the early hours of this Sunday (22/9), during a final competition at the samba school, where three compositions competed for preference. The singer’s composition, created in collaboration with Estevão Ciavatta, Feyjão, Miguel PG, Fred Camacho and Diego Nicolau, was the big winner.
Homage to Logun-Edé
The samba-enredo pays homage to the orixá Logun-Edé, known as the orixá of wealth and abundance, son of Oxum and Oxóssi, and also the king of Ilexá, god of war and water. The theme was developed by carnival artist Edson Pereira and has received great support from the community.
Anitta celebrates the victory
Although she was absent from the final due to professional commitments abroad, Anitta had previously expressed her enthusiasm for the project and her desire to win the title in the samba school competition. She posted a video with the song in Stories and wrote “We won”.
Carnival 2025
Unidos da Tijuca will be the first samba school to parade at the Sambódromo, on Carnival Monday, which will be held on March 3. It is worth mentioning that Rio Carnival will also have another great novelty: there will be three days of parades with the schools of the Special Group.
