In HeroI was on the set and some people from Sony Pictures came up and started telling me about the movie Herowith Dustin Hoffman.

It was about a guy who saves a bunch of people and stuff. I left the room, went to the bathroom, and when I came back, the idea came to me: [canta] “A hero comes along” (“A Hero Rises”).

I went back into the room and started singing this to Walter Afanasieff, who I was working with at the time. I said, “This is the [tipo de] song we should make.” So we started working on it and later I finished it, but it was pretty quick.
