Damiano Davi released this Friday (10/25) the music video for “Born With A Broken Heart”, the second solo single from the Måneskin singer. The song, available on digital platforms, portrays a dark and rather dramatic period in the artist’s life.
“When I wrote this song, I was coming out of a very dark place. I felt emotionless and was afraid that I had lost the ability to feel things, good or bad. This happened while I was starting the most significant relationship of my life , and the fear of not making it or not being ready was enormous,” Damiano described. The song, however, is not a ballad, but a pulsating pop.
The music video was directed by Aerin Moreno, bringing a visual representation with captivating choreography and references to Hollywood musicals. According to the artist, the images represent his “personal fantasy” and “a way of saying that not everything negative will hurt you.”
The song follows the previous release, “Silverlines”, a dramatic ballad produced by Labrinth that describes Damiano David’s happy moments, after facing moments of “storm” and “darkness”. The two recordings will be part of the Italian singer’s first solo album, which has yet to be revealed or released.
