As an example of how a popular series can become the best vehicle for boosting streaming tracks – and even revisiting great hits from the past – the classic Puppet Masterlaunched by Metallica there is 36 years oldreached the position 40 to Billboard Hot 100 this week.
This is the first time the song has made this list since its release in 1986.
Like an effect similar to what it happened with Run up that hill in Kate Bushwhich was also included on the soundtrack of Stranger things from Netflix, the single from Metallica benefited from her performance on the popular streaming series.
Stranger things will enter its fifth season and there is no official date for its release yet. But what is certainly known – or at least suspected – is that many artists are cheering on the appearance of some of their hits in the series.
It would be a good deal.
