Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher came to Brazil on tour in 2009, months before ending their musical collaboration; reunited, they return to Sao Paulo in 2025
After many arguments and some exchanges of public insults, the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher recently announced the band’s return Oasis15 years after the end of the group. The musicians have confirmed a 14-show reunion tour in 2025, and Brazil is included in the circuit. The band will perform in Sao Paulo on November 22 and 23, 2025, at MorumBIS.
But do you remember when and how Oasis last visited Brazil? The band’s last concerts in South America took place in 2009, almost 16 years ago, during the tour of their seventh album, The Dig Your Soul Tour. On that occasion the British group performed in Peru, Argentina and Brazil.
Here the English passed through São Paulo (Anhembi), Rio de Janeiro (Citibank Hall), Curitiba (Arena Expotrade) and Porto Alegre (Ginásio Gigantinho). The presentations took place on May 7, 9, 10 and 12 of the same year, the same day the group finished, with tickets costing between R$120 and R$400.
In their repertoire, the brothers mixed hits with recently released songs Dig out your soul (2008). Second text by State agency published at the time, the São Paulo show lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes and brought together around 25 thousand people, who sang along to hits such as Don’t look back in anger, Supersonic AND Champagne supernova.
Before that, Oasis had been to Brazil in 2006 and 2001.
