Anitta provokes the “repressed” in the song released on Rock the Mountain

The singer took advantage of her music festival debut to promote “MC Cabral”

Funk pioneer

Anitta took advantage of her first performance at Rock The Mountain on Sunday (11/10) to promote her upcoming single, “MC Cabral.” The singer is the main attraction of the music festival, which takes place in Petrópolis, a mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. He will take the stage again on November 17th.

Although the title is a reference to the navigator Pedro Álvares Cabral, the song is ironic about Anitta’s nickname created by the fans themselves. The singer is constantly cited as the “first Brazilian” to explore new musical territories, especially with her international career. The lyrics are full of irony and messages of “repressed”.

The audience was moved

At the show, Anitta also presented a special setlist featuring songs from the international “Baile Funk Experience” tour, which has already toured South America, North America and Europe. He also made the audience dance to his main hits, such as “Movimento da Sanfoninha”, “Bang”, “Show das Poderosas”, “Vai Malandra” and others.

“What a pleasure to be here with you after all these months spent doing this show around the world. I want to propose a toast to celebrate 14 years of a very successful career, to celebrate this nomination with this album that we sing here today. Thanks to my fans, my family is all here,” Anitta said.

This was the first national performance of the tour and after being nominated for the 2025 Grammys, where Anitta competes against big names in the Best Latin Pop Album category with the album “Funk Generation” (2024).
