After 7 years without news, the group is back with a tour in Brazil and ‘From Zero’, a new album that premieres next Friday (15)
After a seven-year hiatus, the band LinkinPark is finally back and arrives in Brazil for two presentations. The shows will take place on the 15th and 16th of November at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.
Responsible for successes such as “Numb”, “In the End” and “Faint”the group reunited for the release tour of From Zeroan album that will be released on the 15th and marks a new beginning after the death of Chester Bennington in 2017.
For this new phase, Emily Armstrong took over the vocals alongside Mike Shinoda. Colin Brittain is another new addition and will take care of the band’s drums.
In a press release, Shinoda declared that the title From Zero makes mention of “both these humble beginnings and the current journey” of him and his colleagues. The musician states:
Sonically and emotionally, it’s about past, present and future — embracing our signature sound, yet fresh and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and old bandmates, our friends, our family and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years and excited about the journey ahead.”
Despite initial distrust and some criticism, the meeting appears to be working. The group saw a 310% growth in the number of streams on Deezer after releasing the news. Furthermore, the music “The Emptiness Machine” — first single from From Zero — took the lead among the band’s most popular songs on the platform.
