
Veteran director Steven Spielberg directed the first music video of his legendary career. The feat was revealed by musician Marcus Mumford on social media, where he posted behind-the-scenes photos of the production of “Cannibal”, just posted on YouTube. Look down.
According to Mumford, Spielberg recorded the black and white video in a single take on his cell phone.
In addition to the director, his wife, actress Kate Capshaw (“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”) acted as producer, key grip and art director for the recordings, which took place in a New York high school gym. .
To top it off, the video had another notable behind-the-scenes presence: actress Carey Mulligan (“Beautiful Vengeance”), Munford’s wife, who handled the costumes and sound.
“Cannibal” is the first single from the Mumford & Sons frontman’s solo album. The single is now available on music platforms and the album, which will have the same title, will be released on September 16.
Spielberg, meanwhile, will return to theaters in late November with his next film, “The Fabelmans,” a semi-biographical fiction based on memories of his youth.
