List brings together releases of the style and its subgenres made available in recent days, with emphasis on Linkin Park and Spiritbox

Streaming platforms have democratized the music release structure, but there’s no denying it: there’s so much sound arriving at the same time that even the most curious ears get confused. Where to find the best news? At least when it comes to rock, the Rolling Stone Brazil offers you an answer.

The list below, to be maintained weekly, brings together 7 recently released rock songs and their respective subgenres that you should listen to now. Only songs made available in the last 7 days were considered. Check it out!

Linkin Park — “Two Faced”: We can’t start the list without mentioning the most talked about rock album in recent weeks, perhaps the most discussed of 2024. “Two Faced” is one of the heaviest tracks on From Zeroalbum that marks the return of LinkinParknow with Emily Armstrong on vocals and Colin Brittain on the battery. It’s like a “One Step Closer” of the modern world.

Spiritbox — “Perfect Soul”: One of the most impressive heavy-sounding bands to emerge in the last decade, Spiritbox releases his next studio album, Tsunami Seaon March 7, 2025. We already have two samples: the recently released “Perfect Soul” and “Soft Spine”released in September. Ethereal, but without giving up the pop flavor characteristic of the Canadian group, the new track promises to be one of the most melodic on the album — in contrast to the intense previous single.

Jack White — “You Got Me Searching”: After having released the album by surprise No Name (one of the best of the year), Jack White returned with a single also available without prior announcement. A very characteristic garage-blues, “You Got Me Searching” anticipates a tour that, once again, started as a surprise, but now has dates announced until May of next year. For now, no Brazil.

Thundermother — “Dead Or Alive”: Three of the four members of the Thundermothera promising Swedish hard rock band, announced their departures at the beginning of 2023. The guitarist and founder Filippa Nässil picked up the pieces and reformed the group with the lead singer Linnéa Vikström (ex-Therion), the bassist Majsan Lindberg and the drummer Joan Massing. On February 7, 2025, the first album from the new lineup comes out, Dirty & Devinebut a series of singles are already available — the radio rockão “Dead or Alive” being the most recent.

The Hellacopters — “Leave a Mark”: Still in Sweden, but now with a better known name: The Hellacopters launched “Leave a Mark”another single from his next album, Overdrivewhich comes out on January 31st. As usual in the group’s catalog by Nicke Anderssonthe accessible melodies and power pop chorus merge with a positively dirty instrumental. And the soils, which range from Ace Frehley (Kiss) to typical folds of ThinLizzy? Irresistible.

Destruction — “Destruction”: For a band with more than four decades of activity to release a song under its own name — and this name means “destruction” —, it is because the chosen song has something special. “Destruction”the track, anticipates the 16th studio album by the German thrash metal group, Birth of Malicescheduled to be released on March 7, 2025. And do you know where the music video was recorded? In São Paulo, more specifically at the Carioca Club, during a performance on October 6th.

The Damned Few — “Feed Me to the Sun”: Directly from the Netherlands, one of those bands that you certainly didn’t know, but now you can’t live without. The Damned Few just released his debut album, Karabasanwith the undeniable influence of Queens of the Stone Age in the construction of riffs and the powerful vocals of the talented Dion Legebeke. “Feed Me to the Sun”available below, was chosen to represent the album, but it’s worth checking out the material in full.
