The musician’s equipment was turned off before he could complete his opening performance for Lenny Kravitz in Sao Paulo
The accident with Roberto Frejat and his band at Allianz Parque, in Sao Paulo, on Saturday (23), continues to resonate. The singer and guitarist performed one of the opening performances Lenny Kravitz when its sound stopped, abruptly, halfway through the last song of the set.
Among several fans who declared themselves in favor of the artist, well-known professional colleagues also intervened. One of them, Dinho Ouro Pretopublished a post on Instagram in support of the former member of Red Baron.
The singer of Initial capital stated:
“The lack of respect and knowledge in the production of Lenny Kravitz’s show is incredible. Frejat, one of the greatest and most respected Brazilian musicians, turned off the sound in the middle of a song and was removed from the stage. This is exactly what you read. They turned off the sound and sent the boy away. It’s surreal. How can I make up for it or justify an affront of this magnitude?
In the comments section, other musicians complained about the situation. The bass player Rodrigo SantosFrejat’s former colleague, the Red Baron, said: “How absurd!!!!! Damn. Goodness. My support to my friend Frejat”. Also singer and guitarist Luiz Caldas stated: “One of the biggest mistakes in the history of shows, total lack of sense in the production!”. The drummer Priest of Eaglesformer member of Angra and today a member of WASPreflects: “It is unacceptable that this continues to happen to great Brazilian artists”.

What does Frejat say?
Last Sunday afternoon (24th), Roberto Frejat also spoke via Instagram. Without going into details, the musician expressed his indignation and thanked his fans for their affection. He stated:
“Outraged by the lack of respect I suffered yesterday at the end of my opening show of Lenny Kravitz’s performance at the Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo, I would like to thank the affection and support of the audience present who applauded and sang along opened the song that was unfolding, this would be the last of my show. I also thank all the posts of support and outrage about what happened.
Why was Frejat’s audio cut?
The moment occurred at the end of the last song in the repertoire, “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz”recorded during his time with the Red Baron. The PA system (audience speakers) was turned off about a minute or two before the end of the song. You could only hear a drum track and nothing else.
Apparently, the sound interruption occurred because Frejat had not finished his show at the scheduled time. Two minutes passed before the scheduled departure, at 8.30pm, when the decision was made: it is not known whether by Kravitz’s team or by the production of the event, under the responsibility of the companies. 30e AND Mercury Concerts.
The audience reacted with a mixture of indignation and support for the artist, who together with his colleagues continued to play, probably because the feedback from the headphones continued to sound normal. In other words: if the idea was to save time, it was of no use, because whether the audience listened or not, the song was played until the end and the stage remained occupied.
In the last seconds it was possible to witness the expulsion of the musicians by some members of the technical team. So far, other parties involved have not commented.
