The house music group will release the track ‘Curtain Calls,’ produced by Rick Bonadio, Gino Martini and William Naraine, the first single from the new album
THE Double Youa European house music group, will release this Friday, the 29th, the single “Curtain Calls,” which inaugurates a new phase in the band’s trajectory. This is their first work as part of the label Midas Musicled by Rick Bonadio — who produced the track in partnership with Gino Martini and William Naraine.
According to the vocalist, William Naraine“Curtain Calls” is a tribute to the group’s fans. “Those who have been with us since the beginning. It is also an account of our life on the road, the effort, the long journeys and the longing for home. Even after the lights go out, the show doesn’t end. It’s in the dressing room, in meetings with the fans, that we feel all the energy and affection they have given us over the years.”
The song portrays one of the most anticipated moments of a show: the request for an encore. “The chorus practically talks about this ‘curtain call’, when the curtain closes and then reopens. It’s the final applause, but nowadays it also involves affection in the dressing room, selfies with fans and shared stories. Even when the lights go out, our work is never done,” he reflects Naraine.
Gino Martini adds that the song inaugurates the new phase and is only the first single from Onean album that will be released by Double You next year. “This song is the first single from the album One, which will be released in 2025 by Midas Music. Our fans will be surprised by this new work. We are very happy with this new partnership and can’t wait to share more.”
Renowned music producer and composer Rick Bonadio adds that the “Double You has a history that transcends generations. It’s a huge privilege to be able to work with such an iconic group that continues to reinvent itself. I am very happy to have them on our team and to be able to collaborate in this new phase of their career.”
