The country duo helps Harvard and Yale graduates achieve their academic dream.
During a show in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, the duo Jorge and Mateus experienced an emotional moment when they helped Isabella de Campos Sisterna, a 16-year-old fan, take a significant step towards her future.
Isabella took to the stage to ask the public for help in her campaign to raise R$40,000, the amount needed to pay for her participation in a United Nations simulation program at North American universities, including Harvard and Yale, where she was approved .
The teenager explained to the audience her dream of studying in the United States and how this experience could transform her life. “I passed Harvard and Yale. I will go there in January, God willing. That’s why I need everyone’s help to make this dream come true. My crowdfunding is on my Instagram”, said Isabella, visibly moved.
Jorge, ever the optimist, encouraged the young woman. “I’m sure you’ll make it today,” he said.
It was then that, amidst jokes and excitement, Mateus suggested that they both share the necessary sum. “JOrge gives 20 [mil] and I give 20 more [mil]and it becomes 40“, she said, eliciting applause from the audience. Surprised and moved, Isabella put her hands on her face before hugging the two in gratitude.
Jorge and Mateus: Isabella’s promising future
Isabella is one of 30 Brazilians selected to participate in the United Nations Simulations, a renowned program that offers unique learning and networking opportunities at some of the world’s best universities. Jorge and Mateus’ donation meant that the young woman could dedicate herself completely to preparing for the trip and studying, without worrying about finding the necessary resources.
In addition to demonstrating the positive impact that artists can have when they use their influence to support noble causes, this gesture reinforces the importance of investing in education and young talent in Brazil. Isabella publicly thanked the duo for their generosity and public support.
The heartwarming episode not only highlighted the generosity of Jorge and Mateus, but also inspired other people to believe in the strength of unity and solidarity. “I couldn’t imagine something like this could happen. I’m very grateful,” the young woman said on social media.
This story proves that, with support and determination, dreams can come true and Brazilian talent can shine anywhere in the world.
