Pretenders announces 3 more shows in Brazil for May

The agenda of Pretenders Brazil had three more commitments announced. The band was already scheduled as one of the main attractions of the C6 Festin Ibirapuera Park in São Pauloperforming on May 24th.

Now, the band has also confirmed individual shows in Porto Alegre (Araújo Vianna Auditorium — May 18), Curitiba (Teatro Positivo — May 20) and Brasilia (Ulysses Convention Center — May 22). Ticket information can be found on the group’s official website. Production is by Music On Events and Mercury Concerts with local partners.

The promise is of a repertoire that includes songs like “Back on the Chain Gang”, “Brass in Pocket”, “I’ll Stand By You” and “Don’t Get Me Wrong”as well as tracks from the classic album Get Close (1986) and the more recent work, Relentless (2023). It will be the fourth visit by the group led by Chrissie Hynde (voice and guitar), following tours in 1988, 2003 and 2018.

At C6 Fest, Pretenders performs alongside Air, Gossip, Agnes Nunesamong other attractions on May 24th. The event also takes place on the 22nd, 23rd and 25th, with Nile Rodgers & Chic, Wilco, Your Jorge, The Last Dinner Party and more.
