Tour that celebrates ten years since the release of ‘Eu Vou Fazer Uma Macumba Pra Te Amarrar, Maldito!’ will have limited dates in some capitals of Brazil
In 2025, the singer-songwriter Johnny Hooker invites the public to relive the magic of I’m Gonna Make A Macumba To Tie You Up, Damn It!award-winning album Brazilian Music Award for Best Singerwhich marked an era and consolidated him as one of the biggest names in contemporary Brazilian music.
To celebrate 10 years of this iconic album, the artist presents a special tour Macumba 10 Yearswith shows where he will play all the songs from the album in full and which promise to thrill fans.
The tour will have limited dates in some capitals of the country, starting in São Paulo, on April 11th, at Audio, which will feature special appearances by Fafá de Belém and Otto. Next, the artist will take his power to Rio de Janeiro, at Circo Voador, on April 19th, and to Porto Alegre, at Opinião, on May 3rd. In addition to these cities, new dates will be announced soon.
I’m impressed by the public’s affection for this album, which is still alive today in many ways. It’s incredible to see how the songs still reverberate, as in the case of “Alma Sebosa”, which after so long was once again featured on a soap opera soundtrack. This shows that the album touched something deep in people and still resonates in the emotional memories of those who heard it.
