The trio of brothers celebrates 20 years as Jonas Brothers in 2025

Kevin Jonas reflected on what led to the end of Jonas Brothers in 2013. The band will celebrate 20 years in 2025.

During the period in which they remained separated — between 2013 and 2019 — the band’s dynamics changed, with Nick and Joe releasing solo music. This year, the two brothers also announced or released singles.

“What’s interesting about us, and I think it’s really fun, is that there are no rules,” he said. Kevin in an interview with People. “I don’t know, I don’t want to speak for Nickbut there are definitely no rules about what we can do. Anyone can make music individually, and then we can make music together or separately.”

He continued: “I think that’s what makes us so dynamic and cool. And there’s no ego involved. I think back in the day there was, and I think that’s what ended up breaking the band up. But now we’re back, and it’s like, Whatever works for everyone, works for us.”

The trio celebrates 20 years as a band in 2025. Talking about the anniversary, Kevin indicated that the Jonas Brothers are due to release new music soon: “I can say it’s the band’s 20th anniversary — which makes me feel two things: one, very excited, and also very old — but it’s kind of encouraging, because I know it’s been a long journey”.

“But for us, it would never just be a celebration of the past. It will always be about looking to the future,” he added.
