The pages also post and promote links to purchase tickets on networks for shows that are not even confirmed
In recent days, fans of bands like Metallica AND The cure I came across a series of posts on social media Instagram AND Facebook announcing alleged shows in Brazil for 2025. The content is displayed to Internet users via boosting, when someone pays to have their post displayed to a user who does not follow the account in question.
However, it is a breath. The highlighted artists have no scheduled shows in the country.
The pages responsible for this type of post even publish links to purchase tickets, copying the appearance of the ticket office Ticket agent. Sometimes they even use the manufacturer’s name Alive nation. So far none of the companies have commented on the matter.
The most common reports concern alleged performances of Metallica AND The cure. The first band arrived in Brazil for the last time in May 2022. The following year they started touring M72promoting the album 72 seasonsbut has not confirmed a return to the country: the official calendar has confirmed presentations in North America (between April and June) and Oceania (November).
The second was here as a festival attraction Sound of Springin December 2023. This year, the group released a new album, Songs of a lost worldand performed isolated shows in the UK. The expectation is that a tour will be announced for next year. To date, however, there are no events on the calendar Roberto Smith and company.
Internet users also report false advertisements of artists and musical groups such as Oasis, The weekend, Bruno Mars AND Aerosmith. The first group in fact has shows scheduled in Brazil, but the tickets are already sold out. The others mentioned do not have a scheduled visit to the country: the last one even permanently stopped his activities in September this year due to an irreversible vocal injury. Steve Tyler.
How to proceed
Before purchasing any ticket online, Seek information from reliable sourceslike the diaries available on the artists’ official websites AND news in the media established. If you feel you will have difficulty in this process, ask for help to a friend or family member.
Report within the social network itself if you realize that you are faced with a misleading publication. While not as effective, platforms like Instagram and Facebook offer an option to report fraudulent content.
If you have been a victim of this type of scam, contact the competent authorities to register a police report and get guidance on what action to take next.
