The bassist of Aerosmith, Tom Hamiltoncommented on the future of the band and the state of health of Steve Tylerwho is recovering after a serious vocal cord injury during a concert in September 2023. According to Hamilton, the singer is progressing well in his recovery process, but any decision on the group’s future will depend solely on Tyler.

“Steven is doing very well with his recovery, but it is happening at his own pace.”Hamilton said in an interview on WBUR radio in Boston.

In a previous interview, the bassist was asked how much he hoped, on a scale of one to 10, that the band would reunite. “On the scale of hope, it’s between seven and nine years. Following Tyler’s injury, the tour’s remaining shows were canceled and the band announced an end to live performances.

Currently, the bassist is dedicated to a new project called Enemies nearbywhich includes members like the drummer Tony Brockthe singer Chasen Hampton and the guitarists Peter Stroud AND Track Foster. The band is already preparing new songs and planning future shows.
