Musicas 3 songs that Ney Matogrosso chose to honor Cazuza in a tribute show

Iconic singer of Brazilian music was one of the guests of the show ‘Viva Cazuza’, held at Circus Voador in partnership with Rolling Stone Brasil

Last Friday, 11, Circo Voador, in Rio de Janeiro, received a special show. The show “Viva Cazuza”carried out by the Event House in partnership with the Rolling Stone Brazilwas commanded by the band Os Cajueiros – formed by various musicians who worked with Cazuza – and had special participation of Ney Matogrosso and Sandra Sá.

Ney’s presence was long awaited, given that it was one of his first appearances since the success of the biography Man with h. Available on Netflix, the film directed and scripted by Esmir Filho was huge success and even consolidated himself as the most assisted work of the platform in Brazil in one of its weekly rankings.

For his participation, Matogrosso played three songs, two of them with Cazuza’s authorship or co -authorship, the honoree of the night due to the 35th anniversary of his death. They were:

“Poem”written by Cazuza and recorded by Ney;

The band Os Cajueiros, who commanded the party and accompanied the guests, consists of:

  • The drummer, percussionist and singer Guto Goffi (One of the founders of Baron Vermelho, original band of Cazuza);
  • The saxophonist and singer George Israel (Founder of Kid Bee and Coauthor of “Brazil” with the honoree);
  • The guitarist, bassist and singer Arnaldo Brandão (Hanoi Hanoi, Brylho, etc., co -author of “Time does not stop” with the honoree);
  • The bassist, guitarist and singer Nilo Romero (album producer Ideology and stage director of the honoree);
  • The guitarist and singer Luce Dioliveira;
  • The invited keyboardist Leo Israel (Son of George Israel);
  • The invited drummer ANDRE FERNANDES “POLVO”for when Guto was on vocals or percussion.
