The 13-track album titled Grand Man will be released by Congrats Records, an independent record label founded by Paramore’s Zac Farro
Long before Hayley Williamsvocalist of Paramorethink about being born, your grandfather, Rusty Williamsrecorded an album that was never released. Until now. The man, who is now 78 years old, recorded the tracks with his friend and producer Frank Morris and shared the material with her granddaughter and on February 14 grand man will be available.

“I don’t expect anything, and I’m too old to be famous,” he said in a statement. “But I just want to know that someone liked what I did, and to be touched by whatever they’re listening to. I want people to see what it was like when things were real.”
“Knocking (At Your Door)”, the first single from the album, is now available. The lyrics are about a couple seeking reconciliation: “What will it take to win your love again?/To open your heart and let my love in,” he asks. “Why should we part?/You’re mine from the beginning/Won’t you tell me, tell me now.”
Five decades ago, the track was the most requested song during the three to six week period after a local Mississippi radio station aired the song, he recalls. Rusty. “And I still haven’t done anything to her!”
“A lot of people our age are mining these albums for tones and things that you can’t even replicate,” Hayley shared. “AND Grandat has a way of getting straight to the heart of a feeling, and not overcomplicating it. Which we tend to do, because the world is difficult. It’s cool when you can hear something plain and simple and know it’s true.”
The launch of grand man will be done by Congrats Recordsan independent record label founded by Zac Farrofrom Paramore.“I thought it was a crime that these songs were there on the shelf,” said the musician about the album. Taylor Yorkthird member of the band, also participated in the process, he was responsible for digitizing the material.
You write things and want someone to take something away from them,” he said. Rusty. “I just had to wait for a granddaughter and a band with her to really do something with mine,” celebrated the singer.
