“A Film For The Future” was produced by 151 artists who created themed images tied to the album
After releasing the album Lunar music in October 2024, the British band Coldplay released this Wednesday (January 22) a new film that accompanies the album’s concept (see below).
Available on YouTube, A film for the future was produced thanks to the contributions of visual artists from around the world who were invited to create themed works of art Lunar music after listening to some songs from the album.
Ultimately, content from 151 artists from 45 countries was used to create the final cut, also debuting “360-degree projections” in cities like London and Manchester, England, and Seoul, South Korea.
We are so grateful to all the incredible artists who lent their genius to this film. They created something very beautiful and we are extremely proud of it,” said the members of Coldplay in a statement.
The singer Chris Martin they also recorded a video immediately after the band’s show in India to announce the release and thank the fans.
A film for the future is executive produced by Ben Mor (the director of the music video “Hymn for the Weekend”music from Coldplay in collaboration with Beyoncé). In a statement, he called the project “a kaleidoscopic patchwork quilt – a 44-minute multimedia tapestry.”
