One of Michael’s ex-girlfriends, the model Helena Christensenhe remembers an incident in Copenhagen in 1992, when they got a pizza and cycled home. They stopped to eat and a taxi driver asked him to leave where he was. Then he got out of the car and punched him which knocked him unconscious.
“There was blood coming out of his mouth and ear,” Christensen recalled. “I thought I was dead.” When he arrived at the hospital he was aggressive and insisted on being discharged. “He didn’t want to tell me anything. He didn’t even want me to tell my parents. Everything was very heavy on his mind.” His bandmates noticed he was different, more aggressive, when they went back to recording Full moon, dirty headsin 1993.
8- The attack changed Hutchence

Bono remembers how Hutchence She confided in him that she felt different after the attack. “I think I was very, very traumatized,” the singer says U2. “He confessed that everything changed for him. What was a small difference became a trauma. He lost his way and forgot who he was.”
