Dochii beat the Grammy 2025 for the best rap album with “Alligator Bites Never Heal” and entered the history of the prize. The rapper became the third woman to win in the category, following in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill and Cardi B. The trophy was delivered by Cardi B, marking a symbolic moment at the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The result was not even unprecedented for another reason: for the first time, a female artist won in the category with a mixtape. The act strengthens the growth of Doechii within the Hip-Hop and its consolidation among the great names of contemporary music.
