Economics magazine, but with culture editorial, published a list of the 30 best rock groups in the opinion of his team
The magazine website Forbes – Publication specializing in economics, but with art editorial and entertainment – released a list of the 30 best rock bands according to his team. The article is curated by the journalist Quentin Thane Singer and highlights groups of different eras, disregarding solo artists.
Some criteria were considered by the vehicle. First: the focus resided in “Main subgenres of rock, be it classic rock, blues-rock, hard-rock, head metal, alternative rock or punk”. In addition, it was sought to contemplate “Rock groups whose musical work has remained timeless over the years and is still predominantly relevant within the modern music industry”.
In this sense, the fourth place went with the Pink Floyd. That is: three bands were above the group whose classical formation had Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason.
They are: the Queenthird; you Beatlessecond; and the LED ZEPPELINfirst. See what the magazine declared about each of the four names cited.
Pink Floyd (4th place):
“Pink Floyd is among the deepest and most important bands in music history, who will say rock. Finding his place in early 1965 with the founder Syd Barrettthe band would reach their maximum pace after Barrett’s departure in 1968 and with the addition of the main members Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason. With albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish you were here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979), Pink Floyd has grown and became one of the best -selling and praised musical acts in history. Although surviving members of the band, David Gilmore and Roger Waters, are still actively touring and playing Pink Floyd’s music (although under different names), the band’s music and message are as present as they have always been in today’s world. ”

Queen (3rd place):
“If the show at Live Aid In 1985 he suggested something, is that the Queen was destined to be one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Known for his peculiar and dynamic approach to rock composition, Queen wrote some of the most recognizable and influential hits of rock music with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘We Are The Champions’ and ‘Under Pressure’to name a few. The vocalist Freddie Mercury Molded many of the choreographed games and attitudes used by rock and pop icons today. In addition, unique vocal talents and Mercury’s stage personality are often seen as the gold standard for the rock genre. Although Mercury died in 1991, Brian May and Roger Taylor have continued with the legacy and are performing with the band around the world. ”

Beatles (2nd place):
“As pioneers not only of ancient rock, but also from the rock recording and production process, it is no surprise that the Beatles are still so respected to this day. With multiplastinated albums like Please please (1963), Abbey Road (1969), Revolver (1966) and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), the Beatles helped lead rock and many of its famous subgenres, such as pop-rock and even psychedelic rock. To simplify, the Beatles have changed music forever and its legacy and worldwide worship are far from decreasing. ”

LED Zeppelin (1st place):
“Throughout its discography, Led Zeppelin has been able to improve a sound and cultivate an audience that has since defined the entire rock as we know it today. Known as epicos as ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘In the quarter’ and ‘Kashmir’as well as hits and direct hymns like ‘Immigrant Song’ and ‘Good Times Bad Times’Zeppelin’s prestige with his musicality and composition was what definitely differentiated them from other rock artists from his era. ”
