At the turn of the century, Rodolfo Abrantes He went through a religious conversion that changed the course of his life. And not just personal: he ended up leaving the Raimundosband that raised him to stardom. After a period with the Rodthe singer and guitarist launched a solo career focused on Christian music.

Invited to reflect on the work, a classic Hardcore/Crossover National Thrash, Rodolfo initially stated:
“I was about 13 years old and already tied me in Rest in peace (second album of Ratos, released in 1986) when I heard Every day dirty and aggressive. My friends bought the album and it was F#da. I think it is very well produced. PODRIC HARDCORE AND THE João Gordo (vocalist) very inspired. ”
Although he mentioned that the whole album deserves attention, the then vocalist and guitarist of Raimundos highlighted two tracks. He said:
“There is nothing bad on the album. ‘Death and despair’ It’s wonderful. ‘Tatoo Maniac’ changed my life. Pivete, all I wanted was to get a tattoo. ”
Finally, by citing other hardcore bands, Abrantes recalled the great differential of Rats in his opinion. The artist concluded:
“I was skateboarding and already heard Dead Kennedys, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES And some European bands, but the basement rats was more violent, more aggressive, dirtier. And the best: you could understand the letters. ”
Raimundos: João Gordo vs. Dig
Rodolfo Abrantes has not talked about basement rats or João Gordo in recent years, but one of his former colleagues has a public fight with the singer. It is about Digguitarist who also took over the band’s vocals after the departure of Abrantes.
