Instrument was taken after a presentation in Manchester, England, but the band’s team was supported by the public to recover the item
All presentations of the Twenty One Pilots on the tour Clacy end with the same ritual: Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph They ride two custom drums in the crowd, have the support of the fans to hold the equipment and take the show to a busy ending with the performance of “Trees”. As if that were not enough, they pour water through the drums, performing a kind of baptism from the whole area around the rhythm of the song while confetti fall through the sky.

It all happened as planned at the Arena in Manchester, England. When the lights were lit, some fans stayed around to pick up the confetti from the floor and take a memory home. One of them, however, came out with some pieces that were stuck to one of the drums – and took the drum as well. The moment was recorded and viralized among fans of Twenty One Pilots.
“Girl, I really don’t think you should take it,” says a voice to the back of the video while the fan carries the drum. “Did I just witness a crime? She just stole a drum. I’m crazy? There’s no way she can get it and leave with it,” said another.

Despite the demonstrations, no one struggled to stop the woman from leaving the arena with the instrument. But when it was clear that the drum was really gone, the legion of fans of Twenty One Pilots became the FBI.
“Guys, please be aware of the person who stole the drum from the trees. They are unique and it is impossible to do another in time,” he posted a popular X fan account, sharing video screen catches in the hope of identifying them.
A to the arena has a capacity of about 23,000 people, which ensures many watchful glances in a makeshift investigation. The band representatives did not immediately respond to the request for comment made by Rolling Stone. “Apparently someone stole the drum ‘TREES’ And managed to go through security because he stated that the instrument was given by the band. Now no one can find him, “wrote a fan.” He has security circulating around, literally making rounds trying to find this person. “
“If someone went to the show tonight and knows the person, saw the person leaving, saw Uber – literally anything – you can send me a message and I can try to publicize it through this platform I have,” added the post has over 80,000 followers.
In a second stage of the investigation, a fan commented that he saw the person returning to a hotel in front of the place where they were staying, but did not think of stopping it. “I thought how lucky they were for winning that,” she said. In the comments under an X post, another witness offered important details, writing, “It was a guy who was with him outside !! They definitely made a delivery.”
In a few hours, fans had enough information to refer to members of the band’s security team and tour, including the name of the hotel where the drum apparently over. The result? Sax, a video creator who follows the band, shared a photo of the instrument and wrote: “We have the drum !!!! Thanks for all the mentions and information.” Then he shared a video from the band team rescuing the instrument.

Some involved in history have analyzed the incident as a violation of a kind of fans’ code of conduct. “I’m so happy I’m back with your legitimate owners. I couldn’t sleep because we were watching the hotel,” a Instagram fan commented. Another added: “‘We are Twenty One Pilots and you are too.’ This means something to us and that was our drum that stole! I’m so happy that it is back where it belongs !!
Not all answers were given, however. “I would pay good money to know what Tyler’s reaction was after all that,” wrote one fan. “Very curious about what happened to people,” said another.
