Group responsible for hits like “Wherever You Will Go” and “Adrienne” celebrates 20 years of the album that consecrated them on tour in South America
It’s been 20 years since the The Calling took radios, TVs – and many burned CDs -, back in the early 2000s. It’s been twenty-one years, in fact, since the release of Camino Palmero, the band’s most successful album. Now, they return for a Brazilian tour in December this year.
The São Paulo show takes place on December 11 at the Carioca Club. On this new tour, the The Calling also plays in São Luís (Maranhão, 2/12), Fortaleza (Ceará, 3/12), Rio de Janeiro (RJ, 4/12), Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul, 6/12), Curitiba (Paraná, 12/8), Brasília (Federal District, 12/9) and Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais, 12/10).

Known primarily for his rock-heavy pop hits, The Calling was responsible for tracks that marked a generation, such as “Wherever You Will Go” (below), “Adrienne” and “Things Don’t Always Turn Out That Way”. It’s also easy to remember the ubiquitous clips of the MTV Brazilstarring a young Alex Band. And it is he who promises nostalgia in the delivery of the tour.
the disk Camino Palmeroturned 20 in 2021, but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the musicians preferred to go out only now on tour. In Brazil, it was certified at the time with a Platinum Record, for the more than 125 thousand copies sold in the country, according to the Brazilian Association of Record Producers (ABPD).
The tour is carried out by Venus Concerts with GIG Music and also passes through Buenos Aires (Argentina, 12/13), Santiago (Chile, 12/14), San José (Costa Rica, 12/18) and Mexico City (Mexico). , 12/20).
