Teenage Fanklub, Valesca Popozuda, Colonial Furniture, Sophia Chablau and Tapajós Suraras with Lia Sophia are confirmed at the Festival in Belém
THE Tornone of the most relevant festivals in the north of the country, has just announced the first attractions of its expected 20 -year edition. The event takes place from September 3 to 6, in Belém (PA), and promises a celebration up to its trajectory, with a different and pulsating programming. The last night of the festival, held at the Belém Porto Futuro parking lot, already has five confirmed names, and they show well the powerful mix that marks their identity.
The international lineup is up to the Scottish Band TEENAGE FANCLUBliving legend of the indie rock that first performs in the northern region, bringing tracks that cross their career of over three decades. Also on the line-up is Popozuda Valescaone of the biggest names in the history of carioca funk, which promises to turn the night into a party with its iconic hits.
Another highlight is the return of Acaju Colonial Furnituredarling Brazilian band of the 2000s, which returns to the stage of the festival ten years after its last performance in Belém. Representing the new generation of Brazilian rock, the band Paulistana Sophia Chablau and a huge waste of time arrives at the festival after tickets for major events such as Lollapalooza and the Spring Sound.
Closing this first ad, the Torn confirms the special meeting between Tapajós Surarasthe first indigenous female group of Carimbó, and the singer Lia Sophiain a presentation that unites ancestry and innovation.
“Starting ads with this clipping shows what we always seek: a line-up that reflects Brazilian musical richness from the Amazon to the world, mixing generations, styles and artistic proposals,” he says Marcelo Damasoexecutive director and curator of the festival.
In addition to the shows, the commemorative edition will bring for the first time the International Conference on Music of the Legal Amazon (soul)between September 3 and 5, with free admission. The conference seeks to expand the dialogue between music, sustainability and creative economy at a crucial moment, preparing the land for COP30which will be held in Belém in November.
