the union of HBO Max with the Discovery + was already the subject of speculation and the issue gained more force when the Discovery acquired on Warner Media (old ATT) in April this year, in a business that revolved around 43 billion dollars.
Markets such as those of Asia And Europe will have the new post-merger platform later in 2024.
The expectation of Warner Bros. Discovery is that the merger of HBO Max with the Discovery + reach more than 130 million subscribers worldwide.
