Audio Deezer platform has created a list that brings together names that celebrate freedom, authenticity and diversity in music
In June, the month of pride LGBTQ+is celebrated. And this Saturday, 28, marks the official day of this celebration. The date was chosen in reference to the Stonewall rebellion, which took place in 1969 in New York. The revolt against police violence in a bar frequented by LGBTQ+ people resulted in a movement of resistance and awareness to the cause worldwide
With the objective of expanding the reach of Queer voices and reinforcing their commitment to representativeness and a more plural and diverse music industry, the audio platform Deezer Prepared a special curatorship with the 20 community artists who deserve attention.
The selection brings together various names, which move through genres such as pop, rap, funk, electronic and MPB – all seeking to express authenticity, celebrate freedom and break standards through their lyrics and tracks. It is a meeting of already consolidated voices, as Carol Biazin – Revealed by winning second place in The Voice Brazil in 2017 -; Grag Queenwhich gained international projection by winning reality Queen of the Universe; and Gabeuone of the main names of Queernejo in the country; even new generation artists who have been gaining prominence, such as Dick sisterswhich mix funk, rap and electronic and put the hit “Posturated”; Ana Electric Chickenreference in alternative music since the album Me Flame of Cat that I am yours; and MIA BADGYALemerging voice in the east of São Paulo that released his first album, Emergencyin 2023.
