Music Party celebrates two decades of career in Tiny Desk

British band revisits Silent Alarm and Intimacy classics, and ends presentation with the latest EP track

THE Block party Made his awaited debut in the series Tiny Desk from the NPR With a performance that traveled different moments of the band’s trajectory, and which began precisely at the beginning. The vocalist Kele Okerekethe guitarist Russell Lissackthe drummer Louise Bartle and the bassist Harry Deacon opened the set with “Banquet”track of the classic debut album Silent Alarmlaunched in 2005 and completed 20 years in 2024.

Since then, the band has released only the single single “Flirting Again” and a nostalgic collection of B-Sides of the album A Weekend in the City (2007). In September, they plan to launch a commemorative edition of Silent Alarm. The band’s latest album, Alpha Gamescame out in 2022. Currently, the Block party is on the road with the tour 20 Years of Bloc Party.
