The ceremony brought together a family, admirers and friends, such as Diogo Nogueira and Hélio de la Peña.
The registers show that, very excited, the singer’s wife, Babi Cruz, was supported by friends. Arlindinho also reached the cemetery to pay the latest honors to his father and told the press that the farewell ceremony was the way the singer asked, with “Court, Liberated Beer and Barbecue”.
“Legacy of struggle, work, love for Samba. My father has always been very warrior, worker and family. It is this legacy that he leaves. I prefer to remember it with our works, our shows. However, this is an extremely surprising moment, the passage of an eight -year suffering,” he said.
Death
Arlindo was with bad health since 2017, when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke (stroke). At the time, the artist was almost a year and a half hospitalized. Since then, he has faced the sequences of the disease and has undergone several hospitalizations. The artist has never introduced himself.
Death was confirmed on Friday afternoon by the artist’s wife, Babi Cruz. He was hospitalized since April at the hospital bar, in the western area of Rio. The cause of death was the multiple insufficiency of the organs.
