The band’s original guitarist will be away from commitments in Asia and Oceania due to health treatment, but promises to return for performances in South America

As reported, the guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs will be out of the next shows Oasis in Asia and Oceania due to health treatment. The band performs a series of eight dates in South Korea, Japan and Australia between this Tuesday, November 21st, 8th.

Initially, it was speculated that Bonehead’s spot would not be filled by another guitarist. After all, the group has Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer in charge of the 6 strings — and the current tour, which marks the resumption of activities, was the first to feature a trio on the instrument.

Now, however, the situation appears to be different. According to the tabloid The Mirror, Mike Moore will replace the original member in the aforementioned commitments.

Moore worked with the singer’s solo band Liam Gallagher since 2017. According to the newspaper cited, he was seen at Seoul airport last weekend, which would represent a strong indication of his presence with Oasis.

Bonehead’s temporary absence from Oasis shows

Despite his absence on this stage of the reunion tour, Bonehead guaranteed his presence on the South American part. The final commitments of the tour this year take place in Argentina, Chile and Brazil, in the second half of November.

In a statement on the networks, Paul Arthurs stated that his recent fight against prostate cancer prevents him from participating in the aforementioned performances. The artist guarantees that he is reacting well to the treatment, but he needs to follow a

“At the beginning of the year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news is that I am responding very well to the treatment, which has allowed me to be part of this incredible tour. Now, I will be taking a planned break for the next phase of my treatment, so I will not be at the shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney. I am very sad to miss these shows, but I am fine and will be prepared to return to South America. Have fun if you are at the shows this month and I will see you again with the band in November.”
