During the audience celebration, officers wearing vests silently walk through the event with notes in hand.
While the audience is having fun and making noise amidst the shows, toys and activations of the sponsors, a group in different colored tank tops and with tags in hand silently walk around Rock in Rio to see if everything flows correctly according to the law. The agents of Procon and the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT) monitor a bit of everything, from the conditions of public access to the working situation in the various spaces. In addition, the Court of Justice (TJRJ) has opened an outpost in City of the rock capable of holding custody hearings.
The TJ seat is located at the Velodrome, right at the entrance to the Olympic Park, and has three judges on duty from the Special Tribunal for Fans and Big Events. The body has full competence, both in civil and criminal matters.
During the seven days of the event, the outpost will deal with cases such as contempt, assault, acts of violence and acts of consumption, such as those related to the purchase of tickets.
Procon’s performance, in turn, begins at the access turnstiles. Inspectors have a checklist to see if items blocked by security at the entrance to the event are included in the list of prohibited products that the Rock in Rio organization has released. Anything that is out of order can cause penalties. They also handle any complaints from the public about everything related to consumption.
MPT servers were also seen this Saturday at Olympic Park. They have been working there every day since the construction of Cidade do Rock began. At the time, the inspection was mainly focused on safety standards. In addition, inspectors are now assessing working conditions.
Rock In Rio Gates
This Saturday, the Rock in Rio gates opened promptly again at 2pm. Roberta Medina, executive vice president of the event, was present at the inauguration. She was thrilled with the first day. “The audience gave it a score of 8.9, which is very good,” she commented.
While black is once again predominant, this Saturday crowd wears more colorful clothing than on Friday. Among the confirmed performances Post Malone, Marshmello and Alok, which opens the Mundo Stage.
