Exceeding the image improves the connection with the fans
A lot of history will be told about this Justin Bieber concert at Rock in Rio. He almost didn’t come, he canceled other shows and confirmed, in the video he had shown before his arrival, what the rumors had been saying up to then: Bieber is not well. His mental health, even if there are no further details, is in tatters. His message on the screens was even moved.
It speaks of God, of Jesus, of how important faith was when the darkness seems to want to impose itself. Thin, very thin, he wore sunglasses, a cap, a jacket, as if to say “I’m here, but I’m not here”. His voice existed only because it almost always came from shameless reproduction.
And that’s how Bieber presented himself. The production of him had already made a number of requests. All other show times have been changed so that he could start earlier, at 11pm. And other shows he would have done in Brazil in the beginning have been canceled. It’s doing the show, heading to the airport, and taking your private jet back to Los Angeles. Bieber sang someone still far from the public, and so it continued in the second, wait.

For all that should go through, Bieber has doubled the bond with his fans. It is as if they no longer want to take a piece of his body, but take care of it. The television scenes showed girls in tears at the start of the show. Holy it was the first moment of incredibly emotional bonding. Bieber smiled, for the first time, and tore his fans apart. It didn’t matter if the voice was yours or a recording.
He then retired and left the audience with the band, investing in a virtuoso introduction. when you come back Where are you now already started, he arrived shirtless, with his tattoos on display. His voice was already a mixture of echoes, autotune and reproduction, all rolled into one. What is the percentage of real voice? Difficult to know, maybe 2%, but no one would risk making him sing in his fur, like this, in a delicate mood.
In What do you mean, the playback was so visible that even though he wasn’t singing his voice was coming out of the speakers. Only on an acoustic set, when he was accompanied by an acoustic guitar and a guitar, did his voice really come back to him. Would it be a case of not coming? What conditions have been imposed for the performance of this show? Shouldn’t fans protect him by asking him to stay home? How much is it worth to undergo the meat grinder, as Amy Winehouse did, to the end? Questions that might be answered when they use the footage they are shooting on stage for what should become a documentary.
