Auction will bring pieces from great rock icons like Paul Stanley, Tom DeLonge, Robert Smith, James Brown, Johnny Cash and more
Instruments previously owned or played by Jimi Hendrix, Kur Cobain and Elvis Presley will be auctioned. In addition to musical artifacts, other items from great rock icons will also be up for auction at Kruise GWS Auctionswhich will be held on October 15.
The company will start next month the Legends of Rock and Roll, dedicated exclusively to items by great artists of the genre. Items such as the Japanese sunburst electric guitar by Hendrixgifted by the guitarist’s father, will be on sale – and is expected to sell for around $250,000.
the guitar of Elvis1975 Martin D-28, complete with case and guitar from Cobain will be available with a receipt of ownership. Included in the auction are more modest instruments such as Paul Stanley from Kiss, Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Robert Smith from The Cure.
Assorted collector’s items will also be available, such as the Monogrammed Bathrobe and Slippers. James Brownbracelet and 14K ring set from Johnny Cash and the snake suit Rick Jamestailor-made for the singer.

An auction of the archives of John Peel took place on Tuesday 14th June at Bonhams in Knightsbridge, London. Among the personal items up for auction were rare recordings of singles by sex pistolsthe demo tape of The Smiths and a gold record Tears for Fears.
JohnRavenscroftartistic surname peelwas an important British DJ and broadcaster, responsible for presenting several rock and punk bands in the 1970s on his program The John Peel Sessions. In the program, bands like Joy Division, New Order and Siouxsie and the Banshees got record deals after appearing alongside peel.
