The Gilsons take the stage with Gil; he watches the shows of the week

The trio performs this Saturday; weekends there are also performances by Maria Rita, Osvaldo Montenegro and Jazz at Sesc

The Gilsonsformed by the union of José, Francisco and João Gil, son and grandsons of Gilberto Gilrespectively, they are the hosts of Love, love – the party, which takes place this Saturday, 1st, at the Memorial of Latin America, in Barra Funda. The trio arrives in Sao Paulo after being one of the attractions on the Sunset stage at Rock in Rio and will be accompanied by Gil himself.

For Love, Love, they promise a different show than they did at the Rio festival. “At Rock in Rio we had a set hour for the show. Here we will explore the repertoire more, we will have more freedom. And, as regards the participation of Seu Gilberto (Gil), you have to think about what he will bring as a party, like an astral, “says José Gil, revealing that the meeting will bring Gil’s greatest achievements.

Another prominent presence will be that of the singer Mariana Aydar. José says the trio will appreciate his mix of northeastern and modern music. DJs Luísa Viscardi, Ubunto and Rapha Lima will play among the party’s performances, whose name Love Love refers to one of the EP songs they released in 2019, with references to reggae and Bahian music.

The Gilsons trio was born in 2018 and established itself with the single Vari Queixas and, this year, they released the album Pra Gente Acordar, from the authorial repertoire. Festival invitations soon arrived, along with other bands from the new generation of Brazilian music.

“For us it is a great joy. This post-covid moment has brought an effervescence from the contractors and, above all, from the energy of the public who want to be present at shows and festivals with great musical encounters. Perhaps they had never seen us before. “adds José.
