Miley Cyrus breaks Spotify record with ‘Flowers’

Album track ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ reaches 100 million streams in one week

Track “Flowers” in Miley Cyrus was the most streamed song on Spotify last Thursday, the 19th, with the mark of 100 million streams. The song broke the record for the shortest time in the history of the platform, being released on January 12th. On her social networks, Miley Cyrus thanked her fans:

“Thank you so much @Spotify and my amazing fans,” she wrote, using a heart emoji.

Released together with a clip recorded in Los Angeles, “Fowers” took over the social networks, mainly because of the “indirect” that the singer would have hidden from her ex, Liam Hemsworth.

Having starred in the feature The Last Song (2010) together, Miley Cyrus and the Australian actor dated for more than 10 years and got married in mid-2018. The relationship, however, ended a year later, with several controversies and speculations made by fans of both artists.
